Don’t Be Ignorant, Be a Truth Seeker

Gain deeper knowledge and insight into the teachings and Word of God through these documentaries, created by Christian researchers, filmmakers, and biblical scholars. As Christians, we are called to diligently study the scriptures so that we can be faithful witnesses and representatives of Jesus on Earth. Of all the knowledge we can acquire, the most vital is a testimony of Jesus Christ, His divine mission, and His gospel. To build this testimony, we must consistently study the scriptures, pray, and live righteously. Therefore, while we are here on Earth, let us meditate on scripture daily and not conform to the ways of this world (Romans 12:2).Don’t Be Ignorant, Be a Truth Seeker The Berean Jews were commended for their noble character because they eagerly received the message and examined the Scriptures daily to verify what Paul said was true (Acts 17:11). 2 Corinthians 2:11 - Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices Paul asserts the importance of being knowledgeable about the enemy's strategies. The Devil's methods are often subtle and deceptive. This awareness is crucial for the church to stand firm against spiritual attacks. Ephesians 6:11-12 further elaborates on this by urging believers to put on the full armor of God to stand against the devil's schemes, highlighting the spiritual nature of the battle. The Devil's strategies: Satan lies, and is the father of lies (John 8:44); He blinds the minds of unbelievers. (2 Corinthians 4:4); He masquerades in costumes of light and righteousness. (2 Corinthians 11:13–15); Satan does signs and wonders. (2 Thessalonians 2:9); Satan tempts people to sin. (Matthew 4:1–11); Satan plucks the word of God out of people’s hearts and chokes faith. (Mark 4:1–9); Satan causes some sickness and disease. (Acts 10:38 ); Satan fights against the plans of missionaries. (1 Thessalonians 2:17–18); Satan accuses Christians before God. (Revelation 12:10). May God make you a mighty warrior! May he “train your hands for war and your fingers for battle” (Psalm 144:1) James says, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!” (James 4:7).

IGNORANCE

The Bible emphasizes that ignorance can cloud judgment and lead to misguided decisions. True wisdom, however, is found in seeking knowledge, understanding, and following God's Word. When we open our hearts to learning and discernment, we gain clarity, purpose, and direction. Ignorance leads to darkness, but embracing the light of God's truth illuminates our path and helps us make righteous choices. Scripture frequently encourages us to reject ignorance and pursue wisdom, which leads to spiritual maturity and growth. By understanding God’s principles and applying them in our lives, we are better equipped to make decisions that align with His will. Below is a list of Bible verses on ignorance:

Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Acts 17:30 - And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Proverbs 22:3 - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Proverbs 19:2 - Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

James 1:5 - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Proverbs 8:5 - O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Luke 23:34 - Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Matthew 7:21-23 - 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Proverbs 27:12 - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Romans 1:21 - Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Ephesians 4:18 - Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.
