The Truth Series

Welcome to The Truth Series, a dedicated guide for Christians and new believers seeking to uncover the supernatural and historical truths of the Bible. In a world where mainstream Christianity often prioritizes entertainment over deep spiritual understanding, our mission is to bring you back to the core of Biblical truth. We strive to expose false teachings and lead you to the authentic message of Jesus, highlighting His boundless love and mercy.

The Purpose of This Website

Proverbs 18:15 - "The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out." Proverbs 15:14 - "The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly." This website serves as a guide for Christians as well as Non-Believers who may not fully understand the supernatural and historical aspects of the Bible. The modern mainstream church has largely failed to teach the truth, focusing instead on entertainment and numbers. Entertainment has become the top priority in contemporary Christianity, often taking precedence over deep, reflective thinking. This shift has led to a form of worldliness and anti-intellectualism. Today's church is often too complacent to engage in intellectual stimulation, instead embracing New Age beliefs like the so-called “name it and claim it” or “prosperity gospel.” The Bible has been reduced to a self-help book, and pastors are increasingly becoming motivational speakers, offering emotional experiences rather than spiritual growth. This world is not only a realm for us to live, love, build character, and make the most important decision of our life, by finding belief in God's One and only Son, but it will serve as an eternal example of what happens when you allow just a little sin in. It sends out corruption like a cancer that only gets worse over time. The Bible is the truth; it should not be treated as a self-help or financial guide. My hope is to lead people to the truth of Jesus and to expose false churches and prophets, because, in the end, the truth is all that matters, and the truth is our only reality. If you genuinely seek the truth, you will find it, and if you choose Him, you will be in His love for all eternity.

The Shift to a Worldly, “Me-Centered” Gospel

In an attempt to appeal to the masses and gain popularity, many modern churches have shifted from the hard truths of Scripture to a more palatable, “me-centered” gospel. This trend emphasizes personal gain, success, and emotional well-being over repentance, holiness, and the cost of discipleship. The emphasis is often on what God can do for the individual—health, wealth, success—while avoiding the biblical teachings of sacrifice, suffering, and submission to God`s will.

  • Selective Preaching: Many churches today are guilty of preaching only the parts of the Bible that appeal to people`s desires for comfort, security, and success. Instead of preaching the full counsel of God`s Word, they cherry-pick Scriptures that promote personal blessing while avoiding uncomfortable topics such as sin, judgment, repentance, and persecution. This selective preaching leads to a distorted view of God and Christianity.
  • Entertainment Culture: Some churches have taken on the characteristics of a performance-driven, entertainment-centered culture. Services are designed to be more like spectacles, with flashy lights, energetic music, and emotionally driven sermons that cater to making people feel good. The message has shifted from the sacrificial love of Christ to a “feel-good” Christianity, where God is presented as a tool to enhance personal happiness rather than a sovereign Lord to whom we owe our lives.
  • Focus on Prosperity: This "prosperity gospel" promotes the idea that God`s main role is to bless us with wealth, health, and success if we have enough faith. The focus becomes what God can do for me, rather than what I am called to do for Him. This message is incredibly appealing but dangerously misleading because it omits the reality of suffering and persecution that Jesus Himself warned about (John 16:33).

Ignoring the Global Persecution of Christians

While some churches in the West present Christianity as a path to personal success, millions of Christians around the world are facing brutal persecution for their faith. The contrast between the prosperity-focused churches and the suffering of persecuted Christians could not be starker.

  • Historical Persecution of the Apostles: All of the apostles, were persecuted and brutally killed (except John) for their faith. They endured suffering, torture, and death because they faithfully preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. Peter was crucified upside down; Paul was beheaded; James was stoned and clubbed to death. These men understood that following Jesus would cost them everything, and they were willing to lay down their lives for the truth. Yet, in many modern churches, this truth is often overlooked or downplayed.
  • Current Persecution of Christians: Around the world, Christians continue to be the most persecuted religious group. From North Korea to Nigeria, from the Middle East to parts of Africa and Asia, Christians are imprisoned, tortured, and killed for their faith. In countries like China, house churches are raided, and believers are sent to labor camps. In the Middle East, Christians are often attacked, driven from their homes, or executed by radical groups. The message of sacrifice, suffering, and standing firm in the face of persecution has been at the heart of Christian faith since its beginning, yet it is being neglected in favor of a “feel-good” gospel.

Biblical Truth: The Cost of Discipleship

The modern “me-centered” version of Christianity directly contradicts the teachings of Jesus. Following Christ has always involved sacrifice, self-denial, and suffering, but these themes are increasingly being silenced in many churches today.

  • Jesus` Call to Sacrifice: Jesus made it clear that following Him would not be easy or comfortable. In Matthew 16:24, He says, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” This call to take up one`s cross was a call to die to self, not to live for one`s own desires or comfort. It is a life of sacrifice and submission to God`s will, even if that means suffering.
  • Warnings of Persecution: Jesus also warned that His followers would be hated by the world. In John 15:18-19, He says, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” The apostles and early Christians understood this and lived accordingly. Yet many modern churches downplay or ignore the reality of persecution in favor of promoting a gospel that promises worldly success.

The Consequences of a Shallow Faith

This shift toward a worldly, self-centered version of Christianity has dire consequences, both for individual believers and for the church as a whole.

  • Superficial Faith: When the gospel is reduced to a message of personal prosperity or success, it creates shallow, superficial faith. Believers who are drawn in by promises of material blessings are often unprepared for the challenges and hardships that come with true discipleship. When trials or persecution arise, their faith may crumble because it was not built on a foundation of biblical truth.
  • Spiritual Immaturity: The lack of solid biblical teaching in many churches today has led to widespread spiritual immaturity. Many Christians have little knowledge of Scripture and lack the discernment to recognize false teachings. They are unprepared to stand firm in their faith when faced with challenges, persecution, or difficult questions.
  • Compromise with the World: By adopting a worldly, people-friendly message, many churches are compromising with the very world they are called to stand apart from. This leads to a watered-down faith that looks no different from the culture around it. Instead of challenging the world with the truth of the gospel, these churches become indistinguishable from it, weakening their witness and mission.

Conclusion: The Need for True, Uncompromising Christianity

  • In a time when many churches are promoting a version of Christianity that prioritizes personal success, comfort, and entertainment, we must return to the true, uncompromising message of the gospel. Jesus did not call us to a life of ease and self-gratification. He called us to a life of self-denial, sacrifice, and discipleship, fully aware that following Him would bring hatred and persecution from the world.
  • The apostles and early Christians understood this and laid down their lives for the truth of the gospel. Today, millions of Christians around the world continue to face persecution and death for their faith. They are not following a “me-centered” gospel but are living out the reality of costly discipleship.
  • It is time for the modern church to wake up from the entertainment-driven, prosperity-focused message that distorts the truth of Christianity. We must return to the full teaching of Scripture, preparing believers for the real challenges of following Christ. We must be ready to count the cost, knowing that true Christianity is not about what God can do for me, but about laying down our lives for Him and for the sake of the gospel.

The Bible Helps Us Understand the Will and Purposes of the Creator

When we enter the pathway of walking with our God, we will certainly come across resistance from three different areas. Our greatest obstacle is ourselves because we have inherited imperfection from our first parents Adam and Eve. The Scriptures make it quite clear that we are mentally bent toward bad, not good. (Gen 6:5; 8:21) In other words, our natural desire is toward wrong. Prior to sinning, Adam and Eve were perfect, and they had the natural desire of doing good, and to go against that was to go against the grain of their inner person. Scripture also tells us of our inner person, our heart. Jeremiah 17:9 - “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

Salvation Through Jesus Christ

Only through Jesus can we escape eternal damnation and the destruction of this corrupt world. Jesus is a pessimist when it comes to the future of human history(Matthew 24:37-40). Our hope lies in trusting Jesus Christ's finished work on the Cross. Earth is temporary, but our true home is in heaven with God.

How do we get there? It`s not about good deeds or being a good person. Good works won`t save us. It`s about our relationship with Jesus. Here`s an analogy from Bill Wiese: Imagine someone knocks on your door and says, "Excuse me, I`m moving in with you because I`m a good person." Would you let them in? Of course not—you don`t know them, and there`s no relationship between you. In the same way, it`s not enough to be a "good person" to enter heaven; we must know and have a relationship with Jesus.

God constantly offers to be our Father, but people often push Him away. God is our Creator, but He only becomes our Father when we invite Jesus into our lives. Only then do we have the privilege of being in His house. Otherwise, without that relationship, we don`t know Him (John 1:12; John 8:44).

Because of sin, we are all on the road to hell (John 3:18; Psalm 51:5). But Jesus planted the cross in the middle of that road, offering a way out. All we have to do is look to Him and accept what He has done for us.

God is just and cannot overlook sin. A good judge doesn`t let a criminal go free without consequence. Similarly, God`s justice demands that sin be punished. God is not only loving but also just, and justice requires judgment.

Ephesians 2:8–9 teaches that we are not saved by our good works. Before salvation, our efforts are done in the flesh and cannot please God, as even our best deeds fall short of His glory (Romans 3:20; Isaiah 64:6). Salvation is possible only because of God`s grace and mercy, allowing us to be declared righteous through Jesus Christ (Psalm 86:5; Ephesians 2:4). Jesus took our sin upon Himself, and we received His righteousness in return (2 Corinthians 5:21). This divine exchange makes us perfect before God (Romans 5:1), as we "put on" Christ`s righteousness (Romans 13:14).

When we are saved, the Holy Spirit enters our hearts (Acts 2:38), and Jesus becomes the Lord of our lives (Romans 10:9). Everything changes. Our perspective, desires, and priorities. As John Newton famously said, "I once was lost, but now am found; I was blind, but now I see." The sins we once committed without thought now bring conviction. Believers will see a decrease in sinful patterns, and their lives will bear fruit in line with repentance (Matthew 3:8; 1 John 3:9).

While we are not saved by good works, Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God`s handiwork, created in Christ to do good works, which He prepared for us. God`s goal is not only to save us from hell but also to restore His image in us so that we reflect His character to the world (Romans 8:29). As we grow in our understanding of God, our desire to please Him increases, resulting in good works. True salvation leads to life transformation. If a person claims to be saved but shows no change, it indicates a "dead" faith (James 2:26). Just as light dispels darkness, a saved heart will reflect the light of Christ, changing priorities and desires (John 12:46). If there is no change, it`s a sign that salvation hasn`t truly occurred.
